I took this picture of a toucan by peeking the camera through the dining room curtains. Only about twenty feet away snacking at our bird feeder. If I had gone outside to take it, the bird would have flown away immediately because toucans are very shy birds and rarely if ever seen this close up. Usually you see them flying high overhead or see them in distant treetops. Also to see only one is a rarity. They mate for life and are seen two or more at a time. Could be that this is a young male who has not found a mate yet......AL
